ملخص:

تناقش هذه الورقة البحثية أهم النظريات السوسيولوجية المتعلقة بسيرورة استيعاب واندماج المهاجرين في بلد الاستقبال. ينطلق هذا التأطير النظري من مساءلة مفهوم الاستيعاب، الذي استعمل في سياق الدراسات السوسيولوجية لمدرسة شيكاغو بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، نحو مناقشة أسس تشكل مفهوم الاندماج في علم اجتماع الهجرة بفرنسا الذي استلهم منظور إيميل دوركهايم. من خلال هذا المقال، نهدف إلى رسم الخطوط العريضة لتطور سوسيولوجيا الهجرة في السياقين الأمريكي و الفرنسي. كما نسعى إلى رصد أشكال القطيعة والاستمرارية التي طبعت وشكلت هذين التقليدين السوسيولوجيين.

Résumé

Dans cet article, nous présentons les théories sociologiques les plus importantes portant sur les processus d’assimilation et d’intégration des immigrés dans le pays d’installation. Ce cadrage théorique consiste à passer du premier concept (assimilation), qui a été largement employé aux Etats-Unis dans le sillage de l’école de Chicago, au second concept (intégration) élaboré dans le cadre de la sociologie de l’immigration en France qui a conservé l’héritage durkheimien. Il ne s’agit pas de parcourir de manière exhaustive l’ensemble des analyses sociologiques sur l’intégration, mais de retracer les grandes lignes ayant marqué l’évolution de la sociologie de l’immigration dans les contextes américains et français. Atravers ce cadre conceptuel, nous repérons ainsi les formes de rupture et de continuité qui ont façonné et traverséces deux traditions sociologiques.

Abstract

In this paper,wediscuss the most important sociological theories related to the processes of assimilation and integration of immigrants in their country of settlement. This theoretical framework consists of moving from the first concept (assimilation), which was widely used in the United States of America in the wake of the Chicago school, to the second concept (integration) developed within the framework of the sociology of immigration in France which has preserved the durkheimian heritage. The objective is to construct the main lines that have marked the evolution of the sociology of immigration in the American and French contexts.Through this conceptual framework, we identify the forms of rupture and continuity which have crossed these two sociological traditions.
